ISR Instructors must complete 60 hours in-water, hands-on training with a Master Instructor. This is also combined with an intense 200 hour academic training and testing in child psychology, physiology, anatomy, and behavioral science. Certification in both First Aid and CPR. All ISR Instructors have mandatory re-certification every year. Our ongoing education allows Infant Swimming Resource to provide safe, reliable, professional and quality lessons for all ISR students. This will be my 18th year of instruction.
Jennifer Aldrete, Certified ISR Instructor
Born and raised in Arizona, aquatics have always been a big part of my life. I started swimming around age 5 and progressed to competitive swimming at Scottsdale Aquatic Club. I swam competitively for about 15 years. Around the time I graduated high school I certified for First Aid/CPR and Water Safety Instructor to become a lifeguard and swim instructor for the City of Scottsdale.
It wasn't until my own daughter went through the ISR program that I saw the true meaning of aquatic safety and swimming lessons. My daughter was only 16 months old and to see the progression of skills and self-confidence of such a young child was amazing! My future was forever changed the first time she rolled into a float and laid on her back alone!
Teaching children these life-saving skills has been one of the most rewarding decisions I have ever made. Whether it is the child that comes to me reluctantly or the child that has no fear, to see the end result of competent, happy, safe swimmers is a joy. I am committed to the growth and development of your child, so you and your child can discover fun and safe ways to enjoy the water.
